When Volvo cleared residual Bolinder-Munktell documentation and a large quantity of Bolinder spares, a tranche of original paper was saved rather than lost. John Pattle donated that material to the enthusiast archive. The modern manuals hub already carries the larger operator books and parts catalogues as PDFs; this page explains the smaller service-document set and shows curated plate images.
What was rescued
The original “Original Documents” index highlighted:
- Bolinder bulletins — service information and general guidance sheets.
- Lubricant specifications — oils for Bolinder 1051, 1052, 1053 and 1054 families.
The archive also noted that further original pages take time to clean after scanning before they are fit to display. That honest incompleteness remains true: we publish a clear sample of service plates here, not a facsimile of every rescued sheet.
Service plates (sample)
Selected scans from the originaldocumentimages folder. Use them as orientation only;
verify any modern oil choice or service procedure against a qualified engineer and the published
manuals.
How this fits the modern site
- Manuals hub — full PDF instruction book, 1053/1054 manual, 1051 parts catalogue
- 1051–1052 gearbox plates — illustrated reverse-gearbox breakdown
- Models — family introductions for the engines named on lubricant sheets
- Registers — which craft historically carried which engines
Educational heritage reference only. These scans are not a substitute for current manufacturer guidance (where it still exists) or for professional mechanical advice.
